Episcopal Church Women (ECW)

MISSION

Episcopal Church Women's purpose is to assist the women of the church in carrying out Christ's work of reconciliation in the world and to take their place as leaders in the life, governance and worship in the Episcopal Church.

VISION

Our vision for all women of the Episcopal Church is that we become a vibrant blend of all ages, coming together as a peacemaking, healing part of the Church. We aspire to be a shining and sharing the love of Christ.1

All women at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church are invited to join this ministry. Rita Lanorith serves as ECW President at Holy Spirit, and Jean Roads leads the Sunshine Committee. Leah Stone heads up visitation and Evie Brown assists with that ministry.

Our ECW provides Christmas presents for patients at the Meadowview Nursing Home. They also host the Thanksgiving Eve Service and the parish Christmas dinner. They planned the extraordinary Celebration of New Ministry as The Right Reverend George E. Councell helped to dedicate the new building on September 30, 2006.

Holy Spirit Episcopal Church is blessed by the ministry of all of the women of the parish who give so freely of their time and talents. It is with prayer and devotion that we serve our Lord.

Welcome to the Episcopal Church!

This program is intended to help our new members understand what it means to be an Episcopalian. It is also offered as a refresher course for those who may want to be reminded of their heritage.

Altar Guild

This rewarding ministry is vital to the life and worship of the congregation. Members care for the linens, maintain the silver, brass and candles, set out the bread and wine, and care for the vestments worn by clergy and laity.
